Sidney Smith: “I’m thinking about how that $25 Million spent on that museum could have funded quality-of-life municipal services for every unincorporated urban neighborhood in Bexar County such as street lights, bulk trash and brush pick-up, residential trash pick-up, beautification and neighborhood entrance signs. The last time we spoke about this three years ago you put it on me to gather all the neighborhood associations around the county to support it.

We work for a living Sir. Nobody has that kind of time. Y’all should fund it and find a way to get it done simply because it is the right thing to do.”

Commissioner Tommy Calvert: I agree. We begin expanded trash pick up in four neighborhoods August 1st. I was just thinking of whether we could get CPS to do a street light program with us and these funds this morning, so we are in synch on that as well.
